Smiles are Easy to Give Away

Kappa Delta's most recent project of the Confidence Coalition is the "You Make Me Smile" campaign. Bringing a smile to someone’s face is easy to do, and the attitude boost can last all day!

How can you join in the fun?

Order your blue Confidence Coalition balloons from the KD Boutique. The logo is on one side, and the other side is blank – just ready for a personalized message! Fill the balloons with helium; you can get a small tank at a local party supply store for around $35, and it should fill 40 to 50 balloons. Tie ribbons to the blown-up balloons and use a permanent marker to write positive messages on the blank side of the balloons. Think of phrases that would lift your spirits, boost your confidence and make you smile! Examples include:

*You can change the world!
*Believe in yourself!
*You are beautiful inside and out!
*You CAN do anything!
*Follow your dreams!
*Smile!
*Go confidently!
*Have a beautiful day!

After you have your bouquet of balloons, go out and give them away to women and girls of all ages. This can be done on campus, at a community-service event, a mall, a park or just about anywhere people are walking around. Consider handing balloons to women during National Women's Friendship Month.
