Take Note:
KD Establishes Legacy Registry
With the number of Kappa Delta legacies increasing each year for recruitment, a new process is now available for alumnae to register their legacies with headquarters through the KD website at www.kappadelta.org/kdlegacies. Once the registration process has been completed, additional information regarding legacy protocol will immediately be displayed on the computer screen.
It is our hope that this new registry will increase awareness of legacy protocol and enable our alumnae members and their legacies to establish realistic expectations in regards to legacies and the recruitment process. The registration process is voluntary and does NOT replace the legacy introduction sheet or the recommendation needed by the chapter. Please click here to start the process. –Kim Ryan, National Vice President-Membership
You Can Help New Chapters Grow
As you may have heard by now, Kappa Delta is growing again! The sorority has accepted invitations to colonize new chapters on the following campuses for fall 2010:
Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, Fla. - September 17-19, 2010
North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C. - September 24-26, 2010
Boston University in Boston, Mass. - September 27-30, 2010
It is a very exciting time, but we need your help! It is our goal to spread the word of KD’s colonizations and to solicit your recommendations for membership. If you know any qualified young women who are currently or will be attending any of these schools in the fall, we ask that you complete a reference and let us know about her!
The reference form can be found at: www.kappadelta.org/referenceforms. Once it has been completed, it can be submitted electronically to Louise Geib at chapterservices@kappadelta.org or by mail:
Kappa Delta Sorority
3205 Players Lane
Memphis, TN 38125
We hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity to recommend a young woman for KD membership. Whether it is a new chapter or an existing one, references really do help us to make good decisions about members. We appreciate so much your assistance in this area. – Betty Mulkey, National Vice President
